I got it!

It was a tough day today. There are too many new things to learn, and when the boss demanded everything to be given there and then, it made the work tougher. But I survived. This situation won’t be long, and it will be over soon once I get the grip of it.

Since I was tired, I have no idea what to blog tonight. On top of that, my kids need me to help them with their homework and revision. The midyear exam is coming soon, and if I don’t sit with them, no one will not study. I don’t mind actually because this is the time they will share with me what they did at school.

By the time I went to my room, it was almost 11pm, and I was really tired. But when I entered my room, I saw a stacked of letter on the study table.

“What’s that?” I asked my hubby.
“Just some letters that I took from Saujana,” he said.

As I was going through the letter, I saw one particular letter that I have been waiting for since March this year.

“Dear, I got it!” I said excitedly while reading the letter, “and I need to reply this soon.”
“Oh! Okay, calm down. Tell me what you get,” he said.

I told him, but he didn’t seem to share my excitement. This is one of a lifetime offer, and I really need to grab it. Otherwise, I would not get the chance again.

I put the letter away, and started to plan what I need to do. My husband didn’t say anything. He just listened, but I know, his brain is wrecking some plan on how he can get the offer too.

Oh yeah! I can’t share with you yet, but when the time is right, I will let you know. Now, I’m too excited to go to bed. What should I do? Read the letter again? Hahaha…why not?

When the kids have fun!

I was on leave yesterday. Yup took a day off to spend time with the kids. It’s a school holiday and they have been staying at home with nothing to do. When I told them that I’m on leave, they were very excited to have mommy at home.

They didn’t know that I have made some planned earlier. Since Syafiq had his Math tuition in Saujana until 12pm, we decided to have our lunch there. By the time we reached Saujana, most of the foods were already finished, So the kids only had rice and chicken soup without chicken.

After lunch, we went to our old house to collect our mails. We were sad to see the house. A house that used to be happy and noisy is now empty and quiet. Oh! I need to fix it and rent it out and make it lively again.

Then I told my kids that we are going to Alamanda, Putrajaya. “Alamanda?” they asked. “You guys want to go karaoke, movie or bowling,” I asked.

Zaki, who loves to sing said, “Karaoke.” “Bowling,” said Amir who is into sport. The other two also said bowling.

When we reached Alamanda, the parking was quiet empty. Lots of free parking but when I went in, there were so many people, mainly teenagers and young children. When we entered the bowling center, all the lanes were fully occupied. We have to wait but it was not long. The kids were so excited because they never bowl before except Syafiq.

We were given the first lane. I was thankful because knowing my kids they will be all over the place and shouting. I also asked the attendance to put the guard rails between the gutters. If without those guard rails, I guess all of them will score zero.

The first to bowl was Syafiq. Not a good one and followed by Amir. For a first timer, he has the style but not the throw. Zaki next and this guy just simply throw it on the lane. The ball went zig zagging on the lane but his first throw was a strike. Then it was Zara turns. Her fingers are too small to fit in the hole and when she wanted to throw, the ball dropped on the floor. I told her to use both hands to roll the ball. Heh! Her ball went slow and steady and it seems ages before it struck the pin. Yet she managed to get a strike and few spares. After all the kids had their turned, it was mommy’s turns and I didn’t do well either. 

The kids were really having fun and the final score is Syafiq 104, Amir 99, Zaki 88, Zara 98 and me 100. The kids wanted to continue to play but others were waiting to play.

After we left the bowling alley, we went to Baskin Robbin for ice-cream. The kids were really enjoying it and when we reached home, it was 5.45pm. Zara said, “Ibu, after ayah went to work tomorrow, can we do this again?” I told her,”No sayang, ibu has to go to work. Ayah will be home tomorrow. Why not ask ayah?” 

Haha I know their dad has another plan already but it nothing to do with bowling or Alamanda. Let them find out what is in store for them.

Happy but not really happy.

My empty living room

I blogged about my new house last week. You can read it here. We have been here for 2 weeks but we are still unpacking our things. But one thing for sure, my new house is empty. There is no sofa in the living or family area, no dining table and my fridge is also empty. Well to say it is totally empty is not right either as we do have some chairs that we brought with us from our old house. 

My brand new kitchen is also fully equipped. Ready for me to show off my cooking skill but I can't because the pots and pans are still at the old house. I need to get my hubby to bring it back to Bangi so that I can start practicing my cooking skill again. Not that I'm a great cook but I'm kind of sick eating outside.

My garden

I like my new place. The neighborhood is quite and clean. The only thing that I don't like is the network coverage. The 3G coverage really sucks. I can only get the 3G network if I call from outside my house or when I'm in my room. Because of this, I cannot access twitter or FB from my phone anytime I like. Every time I want to access twitter or FB, I have to strategically find a spot where I can get the signal. This really frustrated me. There are also times when I'm at the kitchen, I cannot make or received calls. Did I complaint to the service provider? Yes I did but so far, no improvement.


My friend, who came over to visit me commented that the network coverage by the Service Provider is very bad in Section 7. It is common knowledge to everyone but not sure why nothing has been done to improve the services. I guess there is an alternative service providers that they can subscribe too. But for me, I love my current service provider. I want them to improve the network coverage. I don't want to jump to another service provider. Sheessh, some of you may know why I love the service provider very much. 


I hope it will improve soon and btw, when will UNIFI be available at my area? I am so green with jealousy when BFF has UNIFI installed at her place. Dear UNIFI service provider, please expedite your rollout to Bangi. Love, me.

New Year , New Environment and Loving It

I have not updated my blog for quite sometimes. I have been busy with works, my parents and also with moving to my new house. December last year was the toughest month that I ever experienced. I lost my father in December and I felt it especially when my family came over to my new house last Sunday. 


I still remembered when I told my family that I'll be moving to my new house, Abah asked from his hospital bed,"Abah invited tak?" I replied, "Abah, I'm rushing to get it done for you." Unfortunately, he was gone before my house was ready. Mom was very sad when she came last Sunday to my house. She knows that Abah always wanted to come and see my new house. Whatever it is, I will do Tahlil for Abah soon in my new house.


Last week of December, I has been very busy with my kids and getting them ready for the new school terms. This year, Zaki is in Standard 1 and it means new school uniforms, new school shoes and bag. He had his orientation and placement exams on 30th December. Thanks Allah that he made it. He has no problem adapting to school life except it is a battle to get him up for the school in the morning.


Not only Zaki adapting to new friends and school, Zara and Amir also has to adapt to the change. Luckily they have no problems with new schools and friends. Zara was very cute on her first day in kindergarten. I just dropped her off in front of the school and without looking back, she confidently walk inside and sit next to her new friends. Oh! I'm so proud of her.


Amir has a new experience too. Since the school is only 120 meters away from our house, he now has to walk to school every morning. It will be good for him so that he can lose some weight. I think he already had since his school pants is already lose and he needs a belt now. 


The only person who doesn't need to adapt is Syafiq. He still goes to the old school in Saujana and the person who needs to adapt to this routine is my hubby. He has to send Syafiq every morning to school and they have to leave the house by 6.45am otherwise he will be late to class.


For me, it is a new experience too. All my kids are away in school in the morning and the house is very quite when they are not around. It gives me the opportunity to clean the house before I go to work and also I value the quietness of the house. It's heaven.
