Funny faces and pictures

There is an application on iPad2 called Photo Booth that my kids love to play with, and it produced funny looking pictures. The application can produced 9 different pictures, and you just have to select which version you want to capture.

Eventhough there are nine type, my kids love to take their picture using the stretch and the squeeze methods. Here is how they look like using the squeeze...

Wow...he really has a big head. In fact, he can share his brothers' songkok.

 Zara an alien girl. I can't see her mouth, but it is there. She looked happy here because she got my iPad. Sneaked it out from my room. Hah.. she's the only girl, and my hubby little princess....

Syafiq looks like a cartoon - using the stretch mode. A sad looking boy... with a big eyes, big nose... Ahh... he was taking a break from his study. Yup, he still has a few more papers to go through in his trial exam...

Amir with a stretch option too... He looks like a happy boy, big mouth, big nose and big eyes. He loves to laugh, and his laughter can be contiguous.

I have a lot more of their pictures either in squeeze, stretches or twirls. Sometimes when I need a good laugh, I would look at these pictures. It never fails to tickle me.

When I can't resist the temptation....

Today, my table was full of files and paper. Huh! When CL left, I have to do most of his work even though I know nothing about Finance. From the job description, it looks easy, but I know how tough it is.

I had the experience of managing the budget for three months in 2009, and that was the most depressing time for me. I have to learn how to use the system; understand the budget and all other processes that related to it. But I survived because the previous guy who managed the budget was still around to help me. This time, no one can help me, and I hope we can get someone fast to do this.

Yesterday, I was still able to do as CL was so kind and came to office. He showed me what to do, and where to get the file. But today, I was really having fun trying to figure out what to do. After, clicking here and there, I gave up. I will need to get the expert to show me how to use the system.

To make it worse today, I can’t access CL’s laptop. His window’s id was disabled, and I need to copy his document into my laptop. Ughhh! I have to call Service Desk to do that, but by the end of the day, I still can’t access it.

But my frustration doesn’t last long. While waiting to figure how to use the system, and how to get the data, I received an email from Apple announcing, “iPad2 is here.” I made a mistake. I shouldn’t click it, but I’m weak. The iPad2 kept on waving and winking at me. I succumbed and purchased it via online.

I don’t regret buying it on-line even though I have to wait until mid May before I can get my iPad2. I heard the queues at the Apple stores were crazy. There were long queues everywhere. Hmmm… If I can wait for few months, why can’t I wait for another two weeks? Right?

And dear iPad2, welcome to my collection of gadgets. You will serve me well.

Which one?

Ugh! My iPhone looks very old.  Maybe it is from the constant abused and used that it’s received everyday from me and the kids. My phone is basically the family property. The moment I reached home, the kids will be searching my bag for phone and I would not see it until an hour later or the battery run out.

I have been planning to upgrade my phone and when my son heard that he has been urging and bugging me to upgrade it so that he can have my old phone. Huh! Sorry kid, it won't happened that soon.

 Initially I was thinking about iPhone 4 but when I heard that iPhone 5 is coming soon, I decided to wait. Is it a wise decision? Heh! Not sure because when Apple launched its iPad2 last week, it totally derailed my plan. I was half in love with iPad already and when I saw iPad 2, slimmer and lighter, I totally fell in love with it.  Luckily, it is still not available here in Malaysia otherwise I will have order it already for me

There is also another gadget that I have been planning since last year to buy but the desire to own it is not as great as the desire to own iPad2. Yup! I have been eyeing the Kobo ebook reader. I would love to own kindle but unfortunately Amazon decided not to sell kindle here in Malaysia. It took me a year to be convinced and converted to be a fan of ebooks. It has lots of advantages as I can just buy the books at a click of a mouse. Furthermore, it is small, sleek and lights and I can carry it anywhere I like.

With so many new devices coming out, I really need to plan and decides which one I should buy. If I buy iPhone5, I can also load my books in there but then, I have to fight with the kids to read my book. Furthermore the battery will run out faster as I will be using it to talk, server and to read.  If I buy Kobo, I can only use it for reading. None of the kids will touch this and I will have the pleasure of reading the book uninterrupted.

If I buy the iPad2, wow this will be the hottest properties in the house and definitely the kids will want it. There’s no way I can read my books without someone waiting or whining or nagging me for iPad2. Oh this is a tough decision to make. Which one? Maybe all or maybe none. Decision! Decision! Decision!
